These nurturing and relaxing classes aim to help you improve well-being during pregnancy; stretch and strengthen your body; encourage balance in the pelvis to help with optimal foetal positioning; develop awareness of your breath to help you in labour; release tension; relieve aches and pains of pregnancy; bond with your unborn baby; make new friends and enjoy some time out to ‘be’ pregnant.
Classes are suitable for all abilities including complete beginners and the postures are easy to learn. The classes can also help aid postnatal recovery so they can help you however you give birth.
Each session covers gentle yoga based postures, relaxation and breathing. Suitable from 14th week of pregnancy, whether this is your first, second, third baby or more.
Mondays 5.45 to 7pm in Christchurch
Tuesdays 11.30am to 12.45 in Christchurch (not currently running, please contact me to register your interest)
Tuesdays 6 to 7.15pm and 7.25 to 8.40pm in Ringwood
Thursdays 7.15 to 8.30pm in Bournemouth/Charminster
Classes cost £32 for a 4 week block or £10 drop in (subject to availability). You are welcome to try a drop in class before booking a block of 4. After the 36th week of pregnancy classes are pay as you go. For block bookings one class per 4 week block can be carried over if 48 hours cancellation notice is given. For late notice cancellations the class won’t be carried over but you can attend a different class that week if there is space. Once booked, sessions are non-refundable except in the unusual event that I have to cancel.
You are entitled to paid time off work for antenatal and relaxation classes (which includes yoga) – some employers will require a letter from your doctor though.

I recently gave birth to my second child and had a wonderful birth experience, all thanks to the techniques from the yoga classes.
I always wanted to experience as natural a birth as possible, my first experience I didn’t cope well with the contractions and ended up having drugs, epidural and forcep delivery. This time round I did it with just gas and air , and the breathing techniques I had been taught in class.
