Pregnancy Yoga

Take some time and space for yourself with these deeply nurturing and welcoming pregnancy yoga classes I create for you to connect with your pregnancy and unborn baby: Stretch and strengthen your body; improve balance in your pelvis to help with optimal foetal positioning; develop awareness of your breath to help you in labour and for general well-being; release tension; relieve aches and pains of pregnancy; relax and make lasting friendships.

These prenatal yoga classes are a wonderful way to take care of yourself in pregnancy and prepare in body and mind for birth. Each session starts with a chat where there is the chance to ask questions on all things antenatal and get informed about birth. Then comes relaxation, breathing and connecting with your baby. This leads into the movement part of the class helping you make space in your body and relieve some aches and pains. Most weeks there are practice positions and breathing for labour, this is supportive for all births including caesareans as the breathing helps keep you calm and centred. We then finish with a deep relaxation so you leave the class feeling blissed out and ready for a great night’s sleep.

Suitable from the 14th week of pregnancy to full term. For all abilities including complete beginners to yoga. Sessions in Bournemouth, Ringwood and Christchurch / Mudeford

Mondays 6 to 7.15pm in Mudeford (1 space)

Tuesdays 6.30 to 7.45pm in Ringwood (2 spaces)

Thursdays 7.20 to 8.35pm in Bournemouth – Charminster (2 spaces)

Cost: £40 for a 4 week block or £12 pay as you go from 37 weeks. It’s possible to book a single session (£12) to try the class, and pay as you go earlier than 37 weeks is also available when classes have space.

Blocks are for consecutive weeks. A missed class can only be carried over if I have a waiting list and can fill your space, however missed classes can be made up at one of the other venues within the same block period if there’s space.

Please contact me here or email [email protected] to book your place (or join the waiting list).

Once booked, sessions are non-refundable except in the unusual event that I have to cancel.

You are entitled to paid time off work for antenatal and relaxation classes (which includes pregnancy yoga) – some employers will require a letter from your doctor though.

One-to-one sessions are also available if none of the days and times above are suitable or if you would prefer a private class. £40 an hour.

“If you’re thinking of pregnancy yoga with Rosa, DO IT! It was probably the best decision I made in pregnancy.
I recently gave birth to my second child and had a wonderful birth experience, all thanks to the techniques from the yoga classes.
I always wanted to experience as natural a birth as possible, my first experience I didn’t cope well with the contractions and ended up having drugs, epidural and forcep delivery. This time round I did it with just gas and air , and the breathing techniques I had been taught in class.
It was a lovely birth, one I had desperately wanted to have and I am very grateful to Rosa for helping me achieve that.
In the class I learned to control my breathing, find what positions would help me personally and to really focus on that goal of giving birth without the need for drugs.
I really enjoyed each class, met some other lovely mums and was able to relax listening to Rosa’s very soothing voice.
I would highly recommend any mum to be to attend pregnancy yoga, whether it be your first, second or third baby.
Every birth is different, but you will learn so much which will be such a help in labour. I am SO glad I did it. Thank you so much Rosa for your support and for helping me achieve exactly what I wanted to do.” – Emma
